So today is a prompt to parody a famous poem. Of course, I chose the one by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, “How do I love thee, let me count the ways?” So here goes:
How do I hate you, let me count the ways,
Actually hate comes with a breadth and height
You cannot. So I am surely indifferent
To your needs or your imagined time or space
I am indifferent to you, to your everyday’s
Nonsense, your need to be someone
I am indifferent to what you think is your right.
I am indifferent enough to oust you from my life.
I am indifferent no matter what cons you use
In the family, in their sense of being, their faith
I am indifferent to a sense you have lost
With all that the families were really worth
Smiles, tears of my life and if fate can decide
There’s nothing in you to endure this earth.
Totally, thanks!
