Disdainful stares wash over me

as I chisel my block of stone

I am a scavenger of this earth

seeking to soothe my raging soul.

my dreams burn with iridescent passion,

marching in castles built with care

seeking to soothe my raging soul

I am a scavenger of this earth.

Many a squall lashes the keep

I walk the battlements alone

I am a scavenger of this earth

seeking to soothe my raging soul

Sometimes I stop. My work here is done

sometimes my liege holds me here

seeking to soothe my raging soul.

I am a scavenger of this earth.
