Glass

I hold your hand

Like it is broken glass

Shattered, irreparable

Capable of piercing

The harshest soul.
I  cry your name

Wine coats my tongue

Through the water glass

The chimes of crystal

Echoing in my heart.
I see your form

Relentless and eternal

Ever changing, ever present

Reflected in the glass

Your face is a question
I speak no words

Your songs sing through me

You are the tall cold drink of summer

I am the ice cubes

Melting in the glass.
